The Alpine Shire Council's Dinner Plain Management Committee is responsible for the management of Dinner Plain and ensures that Council has access to a wide cross section of community opinion in this key policy area.

The Committee has delegated executive powers to operate within their adopted budget and to develop programs.

The Committee meets a minimum of 4 times per year. Membership comprises representatives of up to 2 Council and 7 Dinner Plain community representatives. The term of membership is two years with 4 members retiring one year and 3 members retiring the following year.

The main objectives of the Committee include: -

• Determining the range & level of services required to meet the needs of the community
• Determining the method of funding those services providing balance and equity
• Participating fully in the development of strategic and statutory plans affecting Dinner Plain
• Assisting Council with budget / financial plan preparation which allows for input from the Dinner Plain community in relation to expenditure and funding which is directly applicable to the Dinner Plain area

The next Meeting of the Dinner Plain Management Committee will be held at the Alpine Shire Offices in Bright in late May. Details will be posted here once finalised. Ratepayers and residents are welcome to attend.
